Artist Statement

I specialize in vibrant mixed-media “Paw-traits” of your beloved pets. I work with several different mediums including watercolor, oil pastels, acrylic paint, PrismaColor pencils and torn paper collage. The sense of love and meaning animals bring to our everyday lives is something I aspire to provide to you in my art. I create portraits of your beloved pets from looking at your photographs, with the goal of capturing their unique personalities in a way that it shines through and can be felt when looking at their portrait. In addition to pet portraits, I occasionally create portraits of people, as well as landscapes and other wildlife. Colors are a source of inspiration for me and I aim to present many layers of color and depth in my work.
